Re: Anyone use the uConnect wifi yet?

Paid for a week back in August for a road trip and my wife and daughter stopped using it after about 15 minutes. Completely useless even for browsing web pages. This is going through Queens and the Bronx.

I actually have Sprint for my phone and the coverage is decent. At work I get rock solid 4GLTE and I have the unlimited plan so I'm not sure why it was sooo bad in the car.

The coverage and speed is horrible..... I got a Verizon 4GLTE hotspot in my car instead and I can carry with me anytime too.

Re: Anyone use the uConnect wifi yet?

I don't really plan to use it again. By the time we take our next long trip, my wife will have retired and we won't have any need to be online. We like to go to where there is NO CELL COVERAGE of any kind anyway.

Many smart phones allow you to tether a laptop to them... cheaper in almost every instance compared to the price for temporary 3G wi-fi thru the radio.

Agree most of the phones coming out now a days have tethering, cheaper and faster than what this service is. I guess if you don't have a phone its useful but if you can afford a GC you more than likely have a phone. I don't see them making much money on this or the crazy uconnect subscription.
