Appointment made for service

Finally bringing my Jeep in to get checked.

1) Transmission jerks into 2nd and 3rd gear when I first start up. Seems once the transmission temp reaches 105 degrees it up-shifts fine. Hope they can figure this one out. Also Jeep lunges forward just before it comes to a complete stop.

2) Selector switch for rear AC vents in console doesn't change anything. All the air is blowing out on the floor from the bottom vents and nothing is coming out the upper vents. (Whatever setting switch is in)

3) Rear door handle doesn't go back in after you open door.

At this time no other concerns - 4200 miles.

For the transmission, mine does the same thing. It is jerky for a little bit and then after about 5 minutes or so it'll be fine. Keep us updated on what they say.

Re: Appointment made for service

Please do let us know what the dealer has to say. With this many folks having the same issue ( me as well) am very surprised there has not been more communication from Jeep. Just FYI - my rough shifting problem began AFTER the Software Update was completed by the dealership to "fix" the rough shifting in lower gears. Prior to the fix, the car had no shifting issues - best of luck and again, let us know how it turns out.

Sitting at the dealership. They said there's a control module update for the transmission. My build date was in Oct. Also getting rear air vents fixed and oil change. Have 4200 miles on vehicle and my oil gauge says I'm at 52%. in theory does that mean I can go over 8000 miles between oil changes with conventional oil? In a few days I'll let everyone know if the update took care of the transmission issue's.

Re: Appointment made for service

Roger, your EVIC will ping for an oil change either when the perceived "condition" of the oil dictates changing based on driving conditions and patterns (feature for MY14) or the maximum miles allowed is reached. For my MY12, the warning goes off at 8K miles which is the noted change time in the manufacturer specifications for my MY12 Hemi engine unless certain "heavy use" scenarios apply. I'm not a fan of changing oil early...it's a waste of oil and not really needed.

I think you meant this for Paul? I just wanted to know who he is going to...

Re: Appointment made for service

I attached exactly what updates that were performed today on my transmission flash. Driving home from dealership my transmission shifted flawlessly. A noticeably BIG improvement from how it shifted before the updates. Most of my shifting problems were when my vehicle was cold. Will see how it does tomorrow morning. But so far so good!
