Cool ARB Bull Bar 2014

ARB Bull Bars for 2011-13 and 2104 JGC. Identical except for internal mounts.
This is great news since the removable lower fascia on the 2014 was a non-starter for me. Waiting to see how Jeep handles the front on the TH2, but this opens the Limited or Overland Diesel as a viable option.
(if the TH2 never appears )

Re: ARB Bull Bar 2014

How much would that thing weigh? I couldn't find out from rocky road and also what it would cost to color match.

Hi all, does anyone know if the standard suspension on the MY14 GC's (non Quadra-lift) is enough to support this ARB bar without dragging the front end down?

Re: ARB Bull Bar 2014

ARB doesn't provide the weight "in isolation" since it can be misleading. Weight of BB, minus factory stuff removed plus winch, lights ...
If anyone has the weight love to know it. My guess is complete package pushing 275 lbs, maybe more, winch 100, lights 25 and BB 150?

Stock coil springs will compress too much with the added weight, most likely need coil spacers or lift to keep the front end up.

Re: ARB Bull Bar 2014

Most folks arent going to need the bull bar. You arent going to be hitting roos or cattle in the US.

Also looks like ARB has modified skidplates for the front with this set up.

But hey this set up will be just the thing for mall crawling and forcibly moving humans on their Iphones who arent paying attention.

How many posters on this site even have the remote chance of coming across livestock on the road? What maybe less than 5 posters total and that includes me. Not that unusual for us to see sheep in the road a couple of times a month.

It's a 100% necessity for me. I'm in remote QLD in Australia where it is guaranteed I'll hit kangaroos, emus, sheep, goats, pigs and maybe even cows.

I wonder if the Quadra-lift would negate the need for spacers by self-levelling?

WRONG (except for 'roos ) !

In Texas, we have a lot of "hooved rats" that some call deer plus unfenced cattle grazing land......

Have those big rats here in VA too. I have friends with Wranglers who have hit them with roo bars. PRoblem was impacts are rarely head on so the roo bar is useless.

To the Op sounds like you can use it. I would ask ARB about their skidplates and work a a package deal.

Hi all, a quick update - I spoke to a dealer here in Queensland. He informed me that he had a few customers with steel bull bars fitted. On the limited with standard coil suspension it dropped the front end around 15mm. On the overland with the quadralift suspension he found only a 3mm drop. His advice was to pack up the front end on a limited but wouldn't worry with it on an overland. Anyone else have any experience?
