Re: Are you going to clear bra?

You bring up a good point: If you do decide to have it done make sure you keep the receipt for it. I kept it in the glove box but the wife must have tossed it out because it is no longer there. Without it I can't prove when and where it was done. The warranty is only 5 years anyway

Re: Are you going to clear bra?

Some films have longer warrantys. Avery Nano-Fusion has a lifetime warranty I believe, XPEL Ultimate has a 7 or 10 year, etc. Also, regarding the yellowing and cracking: this could still happen to modern film, but allegedly the newest films are less likely to do so, especially if you "take care" of them based on their recommendations.

For those who are considering getting a clear bra, if you do decide to get one, from what I've read there are two installation methods if you take it to an installer: either they install a pre-cut pattern based on patterns available from XPEL, etc., or they custom cut it for you. Either way, but with the latter method especially, make sure you ask them if they cut the film on the vehicle. Apparently some shops do this and it ends up making permanent cut marks on the paint, and often times you don't see it until you remove the film. (This is what I've read at least.) Just something to be aware of.
