Re: Attention JGC Overland or Summit owners....

I pulled the F50 fuse on my 14 Overland and disabled QL. Now it rides on entry/exit mode ALL the time!!!

Re: Attention JGC Overland or Summit owners....

I always use it. I have an early build without auto setting, but have trained myself to hit the drop button as I approach my parking spot. My wife needs it to get in and out of my Jeep.

Mine does have the auto setting, still nice to remember to hit it coming in, that way it settles just that much faster.

I'm grateful for this feature for my wife as well.

I also use it at drive through windows.

The whole system is great. I get a 2+" lifted truck when I need it, my wife gets a low, comfortable entry height.

JGC is truly the multi-tool of vehicles today.

Re: Attention JGC Overland or Summit owners....

Hello all (First (actual content) post since joining)
I’ve only had the Summit for 2 weeks but have enabled the feature to activate automatically. Given the wife and I are not exactly what you would call tall.. It makes it a bit easier to get in and out and also lessens the chance of scratching the Sill Guards when doing so. One thing that drove me nuts was the wife not waiting for it to get to entry/exit height before opening the door, which stops it... then I would be sitting in the car like a loser, after she closed the door waiting for it to go down. Thanks for the tips I didn’t even think about using the down select button when entering the car park or at home as we pulled up. This has made it much better.

MY14 has auto-park. Earlier model years do not. I have to push the button. Which is just fine.

Re: Attention JGC Overland or Summit owners....

Fair warning to all curb "snuggers" when parking straight up against sidewalks (and some parking lot stops) with the front. It is surprisingly easy to get your front lower fascia over too high a sidewalk/stop and hear the dreaded creak/crack sound as it slowly lowers your pretty nose until it hits the sidewalk. This happened to me (just barely made contact tho) when an asphalt lot had deep tire sink grooves at the sidewalk end. You could also damage things if you back out before it raises all the way.

Just thought I'd share...

Re: Attention JGC Overland or Summit owners....

Ok guys with all this talk about exit and park mode my 2011 jgc overland will not raise up from park mode. I can hear the pump run on and off until it overheats and has to cool down. The lights on the 4x4 switch blinks but never goes up. Its not the fuse I have checked everything I can think of.
Thanks
