Re: Audi style light on Jeep

LEDs are the new "in" thing...personally I think it looks pretty cheap on a car you know didn't come with them. I am sure the SRT and probably some 2012 models will have them since the new 300 does.

There are some real pos cars running around with LEDs on them where I live...its all ricers so that right there would be enough to dissuade me.

I guess I'm the odd man out, but I think Audi's LED string looks like misplaced Christmas tree lights.

Re: Audi style light on Jeep

Doesn't "fit" the vehicle, IMHO. Or, I suppose we could go ahead and start discussing rear wings for the WK2 now too? Maybe some red paint on the rear pumpkin and ditch the classy Hemi dual exhaust for some 6" tips? The WK2 is a classy looking vehicle and there are more subtle ways to modify it while maintaining that classiness.

Yes, Lingohocken, you and me both.

Re: Audi style light on Jeep

I saw NO to them. Period. If they come like that from the Factory then that's fine, if you add them (aftermarket) it's a big no no. ALL IMO!

Re: Audi style light on Jeep

Each to his own. As for my bite at the apple, I feel the WK2 isn't ugly, but rather too generic in appearance -- not as "Jeepy" as it could have been. Adding geegaws to make it more Audi-like is downright phony, IMO, and going in the wrong direction.

As Harry Truman put it, given a choice between a Republican, and a Democrat acting like a Republican, folks will go for the Republican every time.

Kinda agree with you on this. They look great but they're going to get played out quicker than you can say lambo doors...Lamborghini quit making them they became so cheapened.

Re: Audi style light on Jeep

It looks great on Audi but not on other makes. The next thing over HID are LED headlights. Again, Audi leads the way with them on the new A6, A8 and R8.

Love the idea and I'd be a buyer for this...my neighbor has an audi, and I do think the look is dintinctive, IMO
