Somewhere in the settings there is a climate control set to your fob did you see that? Once that is set to your key the car starts by remote to the last setting.

Re: Auto climate control

I tried putting the temp at 70 degrees and having the fan at 3 when I shut it off. Went to restart a couple hous later and climate control was off.

Ok, so confirmed problem. The Jeep I tested didn't do that but I did a restart a few minutes later. Possibly it is loosing this stored value after being off for a certain amount of time (UConnect system may still run in the background for a number of minutes after shut down.... Seen some of the Caddy's take upwards of 90 minutes for the parasitic draw to drop off on the battery)... Take that statement as you will, I think the Jeep has better tech than the Cadillacs, even the new ones!

Re: Auto climate control

So my old 2014 jeep kept its temperature in auto and when I restarted it, it stayed on. I got a new 2014 today and when I shut the car off with auto on, it started with auto off. I called the jeep number and she had NO CLUE.
So anyone know how to toggle this return feature on?

Re: Auto climate control

Just picked up my new 14 Overland yesterday. My air-conditioning stayed on auto every time I started it. So far I have not found any problems with it. Al

I have had no issues with mine. Of course it starts on full blast, trying to cool the cabin down fast, then when it reaches desired cabin temp, the fan goes to a lower setting. Ive played with it a lot, had no issues, it chooses heat or cool based on the temp selected, and cabin temp. Experimented by turing the thermostat way up and down while on auto.

I swear so far I have the only non issue 2014... Knock on wood! Lol

When I first got my Jeep I set it to auto using the evic. When I started it up I had to turn it on again. Somebody here recommended using the button. It has been on auto ever since ... March.

A number of folks are having it shit off when they use remote start.

I was wondering how Auto worked. This is my first vehicle with Auto Climate so I'm on a learning curve. So in Auto mode in hot weather it knows when to turn the A/C on or off depending on the set temp chosen? For heat during the winter, do you know if the system also uses the A/C at all to adjust to desired set temp or does it regulate the heat by adjusting the amount of hot air entering the cabin by only using the flaps/doors in the HVAC?

Of course it is a bug. Mine does the same.

Set it and forget it. Some systems, I'm not sure about Jeep, will run the compressor to control high humidity, no matter what the temperature. The compressor should also run when you use the defroster.

I would say yes, I'm not sure how it adjust for heat however, only that it blows hot if you set the thermostat higher then ambient..

I am with you Bill. My last 4 Jeeps I just set it to "auto" and temperature to about 69 and leave it. Only time I touch it is to use the defrost mode in winter or if my wife wants to set her side a little warmer. My 14 seems to work just as good as my other Jeeps, but I only have 2 days use on it. Al
