Which manufacturers are using them?

I use a ninety nine cent spot mirror on the lower inside corner of the driver's mirror. Works great in that position. I can see anything coming up on that side, all the way until I can look left and see the driver next to me. And, in the 30 years I've been using them the price has barely budged.

most Japanese , Korean cars.

the spot mirror is a nice idea but it doesn't look good

if it no trouble. could you post a picture

Mine actually reach in and give me a high-five when I accelerate. It's a feature that only comes with the hemi though.

Re: Auto mirrors folding when locking the car?

Hello,
I never had a problem with that option on my mercs.
I used to have an E63 for about 4 years. And the mirror folding option I was using!
As well my SL from 1992 has this option and still it's working.
So might it has just happen with a few BMW and it has nothing to do with the reliability of German cars.
They are still the best engineered cars, but just f...n expensive.

Quality wise of interior, exterior and material you can notice immediately a big difference.
I was for example shocked when I received my brand new JGC and I needed to go back to the showroom due to misaligned door, bumper the grill was not fixed proper and the interior trim in the compartment was misaligned as well.
I saw other cars, there where the tail lights not proper aligned and had a little offset to the body!
All of those things is quality wise a big minus and made me very unhappy at the beginning. But they fixed the issues and now it's ok.

Sorry for my English

Re: Auto mirrors folding when locking the car?

Hi everyone - since this post has been dormant for awhile, I wanted to see if anyone knew of possible updates on the auto-folding mirrors. The new wife wagon (2016 Explorer) has side mirrors that fold in when the doors are locked and open when the car is started. Do you still have to push the fold button on JGCs to get the side mirrors to fold or unfold?

Re: Auto mirrors folding when locking the car?

My sisters Kia Optima's mirrors fold in when you lock it and out when unlocked. So does my Lexus. Wish my GC would do. Even though pointless it looks cool in like a tacky my car is expensive kinda way lol

Re: Auto mirrors folding when locking the car?

Sorry to join here late but, if there is a malfunction with the mirror motor wouldn't that be covered under basic warranty? 100k or 36k?
