Re: Auto Tilt Mirrors

on my BMW, only the passenger side tilts down while in reverse - makes sense when parallel parking it's on the right side 99% of the time.

I thought this would be a great idea. Since the WK2 doesn't have a slider, you could just hit whichever side button you wanted while in reverse and the mirror would tilt. Hit it again to override back to normal. In some situations I would like the mirror to provide coverage for traffic or pedestrians while in others I would like to see the curb.

Same reason I don't use the feature myself. Can't stand they both go down. In my past rides, the mirror that you had the switch (allowing you to move it with the directional pad) set to was the one the moved. In my wife's Oddessy, it is the same way.

Re: Auto Tilt Mirrors

I must have missed this setting in the EVIC, but with the camera I don't have much need for it where I usually drive. If I did more parallel parking, I could see where it would be quite useful.

Our XC60 also has the tilt feature but it tilts so far down that it is of questionable use. It allows you to see the rear tire, but you can't really see what's coming...
