I believe the minimum you'll see is 7-8 miles that gets put on at the factory before shipping. Past that it depends really on if it was test driven....
i used to care more about what people could do to a vehicle ... but having driven company cars for 20 years and how well those put up with abuse i don't worry too much about it.
Mine only had 2 miles on it at delivery and that was with the extended quality inspection that delayed it weeks. Extended quality inspection = something was broken and it needs fixed so we are not releasing it.
had 48. was dealer trade from 30 miles away. lowest ive had is 3 miles. dealers no longer have demos for customers to drive so the inventory is the demos so vehicles tend to have more miles than they used to.
Mine had 18 before the test drive and 48 after, 52 upon delivery. Yes, I drove the snot out of it in the test drive. The salesperson wasn't happy and I told her if she wanted the sale, you will allow me to test it properly. That shut her up but I could tell she still wasn't impressed.
Too bad, I'm going to make sure the vehicle is all it's advertised as and I didn't want any regret with the V6 performance.
That's what people often times don't understand. This is a $40k+ decision. If I'm making that decision on a 5 minute pre-planned dealer loop then being pressured by some quota carrying salesperson, I'm not gonna be happy.
I test drove one, walked away. Week later on a business trip I saw the car rental place had one (although it was a limited), so I upgraded and drove it for 4 days. That solidified my decision. I'll never buy a vehicle without a thorough test drive.
8 with a full tank of gas. The dealer's service department is about a mile from the showroom where I did the pickup, plus the gas run, so it probably had 4-5 when it came off the truck.
Unless the vehicle came with the attached sticker on the drivers side window, a new vehicle should not have more than 10 miles on it. Otherwise someone has taken a demo ride or used it to run errands. Then it's considered a used vehicle.
If I remember correctly mine had 10 or 11 miles then I added miles test driving it and it went to 26 and when I picked it up it was at 31. So that's not uncommon especially if your dealer has a storage lot off premises. That's where mine was parked initially and was put back there until the deal was finalized a couple days later. Inside was still for the most part wrapped in plastic.
