I have had several Jeeps throughout the years and previously had a 2012 Overland V6 which I purchased new and owned for about a year. I regretted buying the V6 not long after the purchase, then they came out with the revised 2014's and at that point I knew the '12 had to go. It was still a great vehicle, but I feel that old tranny just ruined the driving experience of that car. So I got back into a car for a couple years, and just couldn't help myself after test driving a new Summit with the Hemi. Talk about incredible!!! Sport mode is amazing!! So a local dealer had one 2014 left and had it marked down $8000 below MSRP. Sounded good to me based on my research. I also fell in love with the Summit brown interior and just gave me a feeling I did not get while test driving one with black interior (although they are all amazing interiors).
So yesterday I purchased a 2014 white with brown interior Summit with 19 miles on the odo. I cannot get over how amazing this vehicle is!! The interior is incredible and the sound of the V8 going through all 8 of those gears is music to my ears. Not much else to say except im glad to be back.
BTW for anyone possibly interested my near immaculate 04 Overland is now for sale (see classified section). Only plans for this Jeep would be tint match the front two windows, run over to the Weathertech store in Bolingbrook to get the all weather liners, and a XPEL ultimate clear bra installed. Oh and im working on installing the VLED Triton rear turn and brake lights since these things still have standard bulbs in there. For anyone that hasn't heard of or seen the V3 Tritons they are incredible! Hands down the best plug and play bulb system available.
At the dealership after my first time driving it:
Im diggin the all black White Sox plate on the white Summit (not really a huge Sox fan, just liked the plate lol
With the old Overland which is now for sale:
Jeeps new home. Next to my wife's new '14 Highlander Limited Platinum and my '07 Acura TL Type S 6mt (which is also for sale). I'm consolidating as the Type S rarely moved and I just dont need two cars. Its almost 9 years old with 16,000 miles!!
My daughters first ride in the Summit! I had about as big of a grin as she did ;-) Our younger daughter got a ride later.
