This was the other way I was leaning too. Once I (slowly) start blacking all my chrome, to include rims

Re: Badged or Debadged?

Had clear bra installed on mine and they debadged it to do the job. I'm going to keep it that way and not reinstall the JEEP. Same as on my 2011.

I asked how they removed the JEEP letters and they said they cool it down first...surprised me!

This brings up a question. I just took delivery of my 2014 and I forgot to instruct them to not put a dealer emblem on the rear of the vehicle.

The dealer emblem feels plastic/rubbery. What is the best way to remove this emblem? Heat or cold?

The glue will not have had much time to set, so the emblem should come off easily. Just peel it off if it is a sticker. If it is more like a badge, use fishing line to separate it from the body. If that doesn't work, use heat. Heat will melt the glue and make the sticker or badge easier to pull off. Remove leftover stickiness with a little bit of goo-gone.

Just removed the dealer emblem from my 2012 JGC. After 2 years all it took was a little heat, a credit card, and goo be gone. Can't tell it was ever there. Thanks to all that have posted how to do this.
