Is there anything like that for WK2s... Meet ups I mean?

When I had my ZJ ('95) I was pretty active with this forum. Great group. This is where the Moab Trip was planned. I suppose I should get active again. My name on the forum is: SkyjacktZJ

I used to organize them in Chicagoland but the last crew gave up and we did not meet at all in 2015. What a shame.

I am up for a meet.

I don't see your signature on my phone.

Yeah! Alright lets do it. I'm down for Badlands, Redbird, or maybe even Interlake. Badlands is the smallest but you can easily spend the whole day there. I can't remember if you said you had already been there or not.

As to your questions, I have 275/55/20 BFG AT KO2s on 34mm offset rims and I have Bilstein 5100s at 1.25" and no sway bars. Can't remember what else you might have asked about.

Sounds good. I have 2 buddies (one at work one outside of work) that have Grand Cherokees. Let me see if I can reel them in.

Re: Badlands Off Road Park

I would be down for a day-trip somewhere close to Cincinnati. The Badlands is about 3-hours away.

If someone brings some gear like tow straps and stuff that would be awesome, as I don't have a winch. I don't have a spare tire either, so I'd be down for mild stuff, but nothing serious and no tight trails! It's my daily driver so I need to be able to get it back LOL.

How far away are you guys from Haspin Acres in Laurel, IN? I've heard it's a good park as well.

Re: Badlands Off Road Park

It is about 2.5 hours away from Chicago as well. I have a strap, D ring and 4 Maxtrax. Even radios. Yeah, it would be great to organize something for later this spring after we are out of the spring rain season.

Ok, I'd like to shoot for two to three weeks if that works for you guys. I'l have some suspension mods by then and be ready to test it out. I've only been there on a friday and it wasn't crowded. I could go on a weekend or weekday. I figure weekend will be easier for most people. Although, they I did appreciate the fact that they didn't require me to buy or wear a flag. I've already bought a flag mount for my trailer hitch, but I didn't have to use it when I went. They may be more strict about that during the weekend I don't know. Are your jeeps lifted at all? there is still plenty to do if they aren't.

Haspen Acres is a bit further than Badlands from us. Badlands is about 2.5 hours. I might at some point be interested in that as well. Is badlands close enough for you. Probably be worth making it over there at least once if you like to off road.

Re: Badlands Off Road Park

I will certainly not go there in the "rainy" spring season - not 2-3 weeks from now. I hate mud period. I don't mind a splash but I am not about to swim in mud like last time.

The 3 of us have the Quadra-Lift suspension. As I previously indicated, I have been there before and I have done it almost all (minus the heavy rock/boulder stuff) with a group of Wranglers. I will be more conservative in the trails I take, and will stick to just sand.

Overall my kind of off-road action is best reflected by my Wyoming or Arizona experiences rather than Flat and Bad Lands muddy and sandy stuff. Pictures in my first response in this thread.

Re: Badlands Off Road Park

Yea I'm not a fan of deep mud either, I was thinking early summer time, after the heavy spring rain/storms are over. It would give a few months to plan it out and hopefully get more people to join in.

Not sure why my signature isn't showing up, but I have a 14' with a RRO 2.5" lift and 32" tires.

Re: Badlands Off Road Park

I'd be interested to see how my jeep does compared to other WK2s. Especially after I'm done Dialing in my suspension. It doesn't look like the rainy season starts till next month but if you guys don't want to go till late summer, that's fine. I'll probably explore all the parks by then. I happen to like mud, it's fun to slide around in and throw around. That's why I installed a hitch for a recovery point and will be installing tow hooks, snow and mud.
