Rim Cost: $560 (roughly)
My Cost: $0

Some interesting things I learned about the protection program though

1) You only get 4 tires/rim over the life of the policy (confirmed).
2) You can only use up to $1500 of coverage per year. My repair was roughly $800. Meaning you can just get away with two full replacements (rim and tire) a year.

Either way, I am extremely happy with my purchase of the plan. I think it cost me $300-$400 for the rim and tire protection when I bought my jeep. Ive already doubled my investment into the program with just one rim/tire replacement.
Glad to see they covered the rim for you also, good to know they have latitude in the policy to cover cosmetic rim damage like that.

Re: Be honest, how bad is it?

Whats strange about the whole thing is that Chrysler charged retail price for the parts. When my dealership called them for authorization, Chrysler quoted them full retail price for the rim and tire rather than their purchase cost. I thought that was strange since their basically charging themselves the full retail price of the part
