Re: Best Bike Rack?

Yakima Double - Using it and loving it. Also bought the hitch lock - I've gone a trip of 300+ miles no problems. Make sure to buy some valcro straps or just simple rope/string to tie your wheels in place. I HATE SPINNING TIRES WHEN MOUNTED....

Re: Best Bike Rack?

I have the Thule Ridgeline/954. Absolutely rock solid. Nice tilt away feature for opening up the hatch. Good cradles to keep bikes from swaying. integrated locking cable, and locking hitch pin.

Re: Best Bike Rack?

Thanks for the input guys! I found a used Swagman 4 bike rack for only $100 so I think I am going to go with that. Here it is: http://www.amazon.com/Swagman-Cross-...6105949&sr=1-1
Seems like most people with the platform bike racks on here are very happy with them.

PBM317- do you ever get rubbing issues with the Thule cradles? Paint damage seemed to be the most common complaint with the traditional style of rack.

Re: Best Bike Rack?

No rubbing issues so far, and we usually have 3-4 bikes on there for 300 miles at a time.
