best deal to shoot for on 16 Overland?

Hi everyone, been a long time!

Back in the market and am wondering what kind of rebates/deals are available to help prep for negotiating.

MSRP is 51,980

new 16 4x4 overland with 5.7 v8
QLII
blind spot
tow pkg
ad says quick order pack 28P

What should I be shooting for on pricing off msrp?

I am also considering a 17 trailhawk, but those are definitely not as negotiable right now.

thanks all!

Take a look at the Sticky Thread for the '16. It will show you the invoice price for all vehicles plus invoice pricing on the available options.

There are a few dealerships that offer 5.5% below invoice pricing regardless of the model year. Given that the '17's are already out, that number would be my ceiling when negotiating a '16.

Also, try TrueCar.com, it's not fool proof (as I was able to beat their target price simply by contacting a dealership's internet department), but it does give you a general idea of what people are paying in your geographic area. And depending on where you are, TrueCar dealership may be a solid option.

Dealerships love TrueCar, gives them ammo to not have to go lower than they would have otherwise and makes buyer feel more comfortable with a higher price where dealer can make some money.

Re: best deal to shoot for on 16 Overland?

However, truecar does have an advantage SOMETIMES. When I was purchasing my overland, I used the group buy discount down in Houston. I put in a true car request for that dealership. I didn't respond to any emails or utilize the true car coupon. A couple weeks later truecar sent me an email with $1000 off coupon for the price of my vehicle. No catch, no fine print. Just use this certificate at that dealer and take an extra grand off whatever price was agreed upon.

I'm guessing you meant QDII.

That is a cool combination. I like it, but my thought is that many Overland buyers don't want to pay up for a Hemi / QD rig and that may be why that '16 is still on the lot.

Make an offer of 41-43K or something. They want to move it.
