So is it safe to say that I have a ZF transmission in my 14 summit? I have the V8 as well.

Silver or gold depends on the interior color on the '14s. The '14 Overland with the brown/blue interior has silver.

Re: Better (Best) Year for Used?

My 2011 Limited did not have a power "tailgate". In 2011 the Limited model was in a similar position in the lineup to the Limited with the Luxury package today. Today's Limited is closer to the Laredo X of 2011.

Yes, the 2014 v8 trans were a buy from zf germany (the good ones IMO) 2015 v8 trans at some point started being produced here but still zf design, and the 2014-2015 v6 are produced here and FCA mucked with the design and probably why they have more problems.

I am? That's funny because my 2012 Overland had flipper glass and power liftgate. So what exactly am I incorrect about? Like I said, maybe just more base models like the Limited and Laredo didn't have the power liftgate. But I am correct that in those years flipper glass and power liftgate is available.

Yes, the Overland had the power liftgate. As noted above the Limited, at that time, was not a "base" model. Let's agree to disagree and have a nice day.
