Bi xenon HID worth it? Building a 14

Just looking for honest replies here. It's a 3500 difference for the luxury package that has the HID and DRL> Are they really worth the difference?

Thanks

My 2011 Nissan Rogue had the xenon headlights. My 2014 Limited does not. I can honestly say that I miss those headlights. I didn't want to get the 3500 package just for the headlights but they definitely are an improvement.

After having cars with HIDs I won't have another without. Much better visibility.

Re: Bi xenon HID worth it? Building a 14

Once you have HIDs, going back to halogens is tough. We have the halogens on our Laredo X and we've had many other cars with HIDs and the HIDs are a great option IMHO.

Tough pill to swallow for an extra 3500 but if I had to do it over again I would pull the trigger and get it!

Re: Bi xenon HID worth it? Building a 14

I would NOT get the Luxury package for ANYTHING offered.

Go to XENON DEPOT and get yourself the kit and add HIDs that way. Yeah I know it is not the same thing but it is 150 dollars not $3500.

That being said, I do have the Luxury Package because it was the only ticket to get Advanced Technology Package. From the list above, I like the RA4 Navi and the Vented Seats. I do not care for the LED DRLs, I absolutely HATE the huge sunroof because it adds weight and complexity (and I do not use it). The tiltable steering column is helpful for smaller-frame spouses.

Re: Bi xenon HID worth it? Building a 14

I regret not having that package every-time I see one on the road with the LED DRLs and the bright lights. I also miss the rainsense and auto high beam that my 2005 limited had but not my 2014 limited.

If I won the lottery I'd probably get a Summit for the headlight washing system. The anti icing chemicals are caked over the light housings...

HIDs are awesome although they are expensive to replace when they go out. It may not be a big deal for most people as I replaced one at about 120,000 miles on our old ride an the other one looked like it was ready to go out soon when we traded it in at 134,000 miles.

Worth it, don't question it just do it. Everytime I see one without it, it makes me smile and happy that I have them. The lighting is awesome, they look sick, can't go back to halogen.

It was money well spent for me. The pano sunroof, Sirius XM, ventilated seats, and HIDs are all worth having. I would do it again.
