Re: Billet or Max Steel?

Both are great colors. I went with the Billet silver for one reason. My wife and I were at the dealer, and all the cars looked spotless. It started to rain, and I had to go elsewhere. I came back 2 hours after the rain stopped. All the cars had dried off by that time. They only 2 colors that did not obviously show dirt spots left from the rain were white and billet silver. The darker the car, the quicker it looks dirty. I would Love a black or dark blue jeep, but don't want to have to wash it all the time for it to look good (especially living in MN with all the road salt in the winter). Color is in the eyes of the beholder.

Re: Billet or Max Steel?

Exactly. I like the Granite but the more I see Max Steel, the more I want it. First I saw it in daylight thinking it was black and had to really look hard to work out what colourit really was. Then I saw it on an overcast day and whoa it looked good. Had almost a bluish-purplish tinge to it. Very nice.

Then I remember my old Dark Blue/Purple-ish Subaru Legacy/Liberty and Black 4Runner and how much dirt it showed and how often I had to clean them (OCD) and think maybe Granite and Billet are the way to go. Saw a Billet SRT8 the other day that was polished and waxed real nice with black rims. Sweet.

I agree... Something about black and silver... I like Granite too but Billet.. is well.. Billet ha

OCD here about a clean car also. I wash my Max Steel twice a week LOL. I love the 12 I have now, but the new headlights and the interior enhancements have me sold.

Re: Billet or Max Steel?

It's funny but I don't like the new headlights, taillights and grill of the '14's. It's just the 8-speed and 8.4 screen that I like. If it wasn't for that I'd have a '13 in the carport. The pre-'14's look much tougher and beefier IMO.

I agree with the 14 design it is soft, but when those led drl's are on... it's one tough looking mofo'. I like the led drl's and the interior enhancements. I like the contrast stitching in the Morocco black interior, the new wood grain and 8in screen with more in car capabilities.

I also agree with this. To me, the 11-13's looked more rugged. Also, the Mineral Grey/New Saddle combo was unbeatable. If Saddle comes back, I'm trading mine in no matter what.

Re: Billet or Max Steel?

Both billet and max steel are really nice looking colors. Personally, I would want Black Clear Coat like my '98 Grand Cherokee was, and will likely trade in my '12 if they offer it on a Grand Cherokee again. I have brilliant black now and like it though.

I have max steel. Although it looks good when it's clean, it always shows dust and gets really hot. I wish I had been a little more patient and waited till the dealer got silver in to see it in person.

I cant remember if it's Dodge or Chrysler, but one of them is offering a gloss black. So maybe it will make its way to Jeep?

Edit: It's Dodge. The color is called Pitch Black and then you have the optional Phantom Black Tri-coat.

Tell me about it I wash mine 2 or 3 times a week! I am surprised I have paint left haha. That has me leaning toward Billet.. I do have to say though, the 14 design in Granite, Max Steel or Black looks spiffy.
