Black Forest Green question

I am considering buying my first Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is a 2012 in Black Forest Green. I originally thought it was black but upon closer inspection, I noticed a green tinge from certain angles and then notices the beautiful green specks when viewed in the sunlight.

For any current owners of this color, are there certain times of the day where the green is more visible? Is it only when in bright sun? How about when parked in a garage? Are you happy with this color is it too close to black.

I was considering Bright Silver, but I am intrigued by this color.

Black Forest is the most beautifull color...you don't see it often like the myriad shades of boring grey/silver that every puke manufacturer makes 50 shades of... nothing and I mean no other color shines up like this green and makes a GC look classy as well as its owner...seperate yourself from the herd.

Re: Black Forest Green question

Although I'm not personally a fan of owning darker colored vehicles--just a preference, I have to agree with the previous poster that that green is a very special shade. I saw one on the lot the other day when I was doing a test drive and the sun caught it "just so" in a very nice way.

I haven't seen it yet. It sounds nice. Similar to Ford Atlantis Green? I agree about the boring shades of grey, silver, black, etc.

Re: Black Forest Green question

I wanted the previous green, but ended up with black. This color sounds awesome.

Blackberry is a very similar color, it looks black, but in bright light the flake pops and you can see the color shine through. Very nice.

Re: Black Forest Green question

I actually parked our Forest Green Pearl next to a Black Forest Green one the other day. I prefer ours, the new color is REALLY subtle, and it really looks black in probably 80% of situations, where the forest green looks black in probably 30% of situations...JMHO...

Re: Black Forest Green question

We just bought a Black Forrest Green on Tuesday and I really dig the color. I think that the green really comes out in it in the morning or at dusk when the sun hits the Jeep just right. It's a sweet color and I highly recommend it if you like dark colors but want something a little different.
