Re: Blue area on tach

My tablet shows IMAP and battery voltage and a lot of other things (0-60 time, mpg (ave and instant), various temperatures all at the same time. No Big.

OTOH showing a "best economy" band on a tach with an automatic is just absurd.

Wish they had spent the money making the needle a higher contrast in the day.

Have you tried resetting the transmission "memory" so it re-learns your driving habits? Also, I know that 2011-2012 WK2s built before late 2011 have a TSB out for shifting and other performance improvements; have you had that applied (if necessary)?

Re: Blue area on tach

I keep mine in sport mode on everything but interstate, holds the gears longer and downshifts faster. Of course I am losing mpg's but I can live with that.

I like to toy around with the G meter and street dyno function but that ones tough if you don't know which gear the tranny is using. But, as with most toys, the novelty sometimes wears off. The long term history of timing and dozens of sensor data can be interesting... especially if there is an issue down the road. Do you keep your tablet attached all the time recording data or just when you are interested in what's going on?
