Re: Body shop north of boston
I had a similar low speed accident on Route 9 West a couple of months ago driving in bumper to bumper traffic. It was a small car that was low to the ground and they hit my hitch. They ended up with a hole in their bumper from my hitch.
I took it to a local body shop to have it inspected and they couldn't find damage, other than a minor scratch on the hitch fascia.
I'm not sure if it is the sight lines, car color (billet silver), or the approach angle, but I feel like other drivers are sitting on my ass more than with my previous car (sunlit copper Murano). I have, however, noticed cars not getting as close during braking since I swapped the brake lights over to LED. The LEDs come on a split second quicker than the original bulbs.
