Brain Dead Assembly Line Workers

Didn't notice this until I got the Jeep home from the dealership. It is a 2016 Overland. Can't believe Jeep's quality control is so bad. They didn't even bother to look at the back of the vehicle. Sad

So its an Underland? Pretty rare those, might be worth something.

Ya, how many people looked at that badge before you bought it and nobody ever noticed it or didn't give a damn!?

Re: Brain Dead Assembly Line Workers

Or maybe it was an export model, all of our overlands in Australia look like that!

Re: Brain Dead Assembly Line Workers

Can't believe they assembled the Jeep upside down. Agree it must have been for the Down Under market.

Re: Brain Dead Assembly Line Workers

Makes you wonder how it was missed by the factory and the dealer

Mine had the rear window washer hose never connected. The hoses were not plugged in together under the left hand side of the dash. After many attempts to "clear the blockage" I was going to take to back to Jeep. On my next drive I heard water sloshing around at the footwell. I pulled it all apart and found a very large area under the plastic support that was full of washer fluid that I had been trying to pump to the back window.

I am sure you guys have other stories.

Re: Brain Dead Assembly Line Workers

It is the type of thing you can look at a hundred times and not notice it. I'm sure the OP walked around his car to 'check it out' before driving it home and didn't notice it. I wouldn't call him brain dead. At least they are just stick on.

Re: Brain Dead Assembly Line Workers

It is pretty amazing how many eyes that could get by before being notice, but atleast it's just a stick on badge. Peel it off and out it on right...done. We have seen this before and will see it again. A while back when the 2015 High Altitude first came out I was at th dealership and there was a High Altitude with a chrome "Limited" badge on the rear liftgate lol.
It happens to other manufacturers as well. Someone recently post a picture of a new Range Rover and the two words were clearly uneven...it was pretty funny.

Re: Brain Dead Assembly Line Workers

I bought a 1970 Buick Skylark off the showroom floor and it said Buick on the passenger side of the dash and the emblem was upside down, and they wonder why they have trouble selling cars!
