Re: Brand New Here and Lost Already!

IMPORTANT UPDATE

The 730N and the 430N radios cannot be swapped due to the Hands-Free Module configuration wiring (internal vs. external).

I thought there would be an issue since the uconnect is an external module in the 430N and is built into both 730N's. Thanks for confirming.

Is it a matter of adding the ucconect module if swapping a 430n for the 730n or vice versa not needing the external uconnect module if going from a 730n to 430n?

The 430N has the uconnect module external. The wiring harness is different between the two so they aren't easily swappable. I suppose, if you were handy enough, could come up with all the proper replacement harnesses and had access to the tech program to reprogram the car's computers you could make the swap but would you trust a dealer mechanic to figure it all out without step by step instructions???????
