Re: Build Sheet - XKNA Flex Fuel Vehicle

I suspect it means a yellow fuel tank cap. (Mine has the same). Codes are usually in the front of a service manual but we are not allowed to buy one. VIN decode is in the front of the parts book.

No, If you read what's on the yellow cap, it stipulates that you can use E85. Just about every gas station now sells E10 which all vehicles can use. Mind you, I would never use E85 because you get about 25% lower mileage with it.

Re: Build Sheet - XKNA Flex Fuel Vehicle

I'd use E85 if over 25 % less expensive than 87 PON. Since the one station here is only 14% cheaper, I don't but nice to know I could.

Might try one tank if the planets all align just to see what it is like (may clean the injectors).

Re: Build Sheet - XKNA Flex Fuel Vehicle

I lose 3 mpg Cty and HWY when using E85 - 14% Difference in mileage. But it really all depends on how you drive and the conditions you drive in.

Re: Build Sheet - XKNA Flex Fuel Vehicle

That is real world info. Thank you.

BTW don't know but suspect you could run anything from e0 to e85 aand any mix. Not sure what would happen with 200 proof white lightning.
