Re: Build status thread for Overlands with Tech package

Keeping the Suburban. It's our travel/tow vehicle. Two adults, one kid and three dogs. We fill it to the brim and don't plan on selling it anytime soon. It has everything we want/need except the navigation and mapping from the factory SUCKS.

We are trading in my wifes TSX for the Grand Cherokee for her to drive. She needed something bigger than the TSX to haul our newborn son around and the rest of her junk but the Suburban is too big for her to drive around everyday and I refuse to buy a mini-van.

Re: Build status thread for Overlands with Tech package

A jeep specialist called me today and said there has been "movement" with my jeep within the last 8 days....I have no idea what that means. I told her that wasn't really telling me anything. She assured me that I would have it before christmas and even stated that there is absoultely no reason it should be taking this long. At one point she made a reference to how I ordered everything you can get on one like it was a bad thing and my fault it's taking this long. I said this was the first time I've order a fully loaded truck and the car company actually complained about it. Surely GM or Ford would be ok with taking my 46,000 I asked.

She said she expected within the next 7 days it to be built and given a est delivery date. We talked for about 45mins, mostly me letting her know that I am very unhappy with how this has went so far!

I will give it to them, they are extremely nice and understanding, just don't know what the crap is going on. To be honest on one hand I feel like it got more answers today then any other time but on the other I feel like I still don't know anything new.

We will see I guess....

I'm getting the same package. I can see now why they say removing the front facia is more complicated with that option. Basically, if we want to do it, we'd have to remove that sensor too.

Thanks for posting the pics, and congrats!

It appears to me as the sensor would stay put when the facia is removed....no?

According to the manual, it's two bolts to remove the sensor. Shouldn't take more than 1-2 minutes.

I'm with you Jonesark! Your comments are true, I went through it too.

I know you ordered the same day I did (9/21) and have no info in Milous' tracking yet. Hope you get into production within the week!

Congrats! I was torn between the black interior and the saddle. I'm afraid I would have liked the black better.... Can't wait to hear your review of the tech package, especially the forward collision warning.

Had the same experience today. I called and talked to Michelle, who was extremely friendly and helpful. She mentioned that my status was changed yesterday and I should see a delivery date pop up by Monday. She mentioned the delay may have been because they didn't anticipate the demand for the Tech package and Saddle interior. So, maybe some of us will see some movement in the next week or so. Keeping my fingers crossed. After reading all the reviews of people that have gotten their cars, I'm excited and waiting like a kid at Christmas time; oh wait; it is Christmas time. Great.
