Bumpers are reprinted every day. Get it done by somebody good and it will be good as new, match perfectly, and last for the life of the vehicle.

Try one of the body men and painters that do small jobs for the high end auto dealers, just like the wheel repair guys. I have had very good luck with these repairs and if they are really good you will never be able to tell it was repaired. Most are reasonably priced. Good luck.

I've never seen a repair from one of those places that I couldn't tell. And in any event the black plastic below is cracked and the chrome trim is bent...

The only way it will really look 100% is to replace these parts. If you're satisfied with 70% perhaps the components themselves can be reused.

But how many did you see that were done, but you never knew it?

Fair point lol

BUT...I have seen a lot of bumpers that obviously have had some sort of spot repair and they look terrible...

Re: Bumper Damage - Those that are familiar with '14s

I agree that the bottom two pieces are beyond repair. The top part, I think, could be repaired, but I'm not sure at what point the cost of the repair outweighs the cost of just replacing the upper cover (I think that's about a $300 part). Haven't gone to the body shop yet... will get around to it.

I've dealt with one of those dealer repair guys once before. I thought about that route, as well, but the damage to the lower fasica makes me think it wouldn't be worth it.

If they fixed just the spot on the bumper, I would think they would only sand & paint that one area... if they replace the entire upper bumper cover, would they then have to blend into the fenders/grille?

Re: Bumper Damage - Those that are familiar with '14s

If they replace the whole cover they would have to repaint the whole cover. They should be able to match the paint without blending, if its a good shop. Its harder than just a sport repair and then a blend across the whole bumper and a re-clear of the whole bumper, but it is very doable. But, like I said you will always see a little wave in that area if they don't replace the cover.

I had another vehicle with worse looking damage repaired so well, that a dealership gave me Full KBB Excellent Condition Value for it as a trade in.

You might be surprised how good some of these guys are.

But what are your odds of finding somebody like that? Depends a lot on the color too...

Re: Bumper Damage - Those that are familiar with '14s

The bottom non-chrome fascia piece is $134

The chrome piece is somewhere in the $200s thought.

So first estimate is $1,320.59. Ouch.
