Burn Smell Query

A quick query. After driving the 2014 GC (overland, diesel), I noticed a little burning smell after getting out of the car. I had no indication of high temp, and temp was normal. I sniffed around the car a bit, looked under the bonnet, but couldn't find anything obvious. It was a cold day, if that makes any diff.

Not sure if this is just normal or not, but the smell caught my nose. Anyone else experienced this?

Cheers in advance.

Re: Burn Smell Query

Not sure if its a similar smell to your vehicle, but I have smelled a burning type smell on multiple new vehicles I have owned. I would give it time as sometimes oils or film needs time to burn off new parts. If it persists and really seems like something is burning then i would look more indepth.

Re: Burn Smell Query

Thanks for that. I've down some trawling across the forums, and it could be the diesel particulate filter regenerating, and me turning the car off mid regeneration or something like that.
