I'm kinda glad i did now. I got a lot more options on my 2012 than I would have on a 2014.

Doing brakes, sparks plugs, tires and a few other things now.

Kinda pricey but will still be ahead of wait a couple years.

Good luck.
Could you post a picture of your 2022, I want to know what they're going to look like

Re: Buy new or used GC?

Buying used is nearly always cheaper in the long run. I'd rather spend more money to get exactly what I want instead of taking the closest match from the used lots or leftovers from last year's model that nobody else wanted.

Re: Buy new or used GC?

I bought a used 2013 with only 4400 miles. First owner had it for less than 4 months and traded it in at a BMW dealer. It had warranty and has options I would not have chosen had I ordered one, but everything it has extra I am glad to have and enjoy it very much. Only problem it had was a rattle in the back that was hard to find, fixed that and all is well.

Re: Buy new or used GC?

I have bought used for years, but for my '16 I went with a new one. I scoured the web for best pricing on a new one and I ended up out the door, taxes, fees, tags, etc for $40,000 on a truck stickered at almost $43,000. Comparable used '15s were low-mid $30ks before taxes and tags, so I thought it made sense to buy a new one. I intend to hang on to my truck for a long time so I'm not terribly concerned with initial depreciation.

Where was this rattle? I have one too and it's beyond irritating 😫

Re: Buy new or used GC?

I don't think I will ever purchase a brand new vehicle again in my life. I leased the 2014 Jeep GC limited 3 years ago and the sticker was I believe 43-45K. At the end of the lease the bank is valuing the truck at 23K ! Holy depreciation bathman! I think there is A LOT of savings buying a year or two back. Thats just me and I have to say I been told I am cheap

Buying used isn't always cheaper...sometimes you get someone else's money pit that has been polished up a bit to move it off the lot.

I tend to buy both new and used, just depends on what is available and at what price.
First GC was used--most reliable vehicle I ever owned and that includes a Porsche and an "iron" Volvo. Still running great when traded in--salesman bought it for his kid to take to college.

Second GC new.

Third GC... depends on situation.

Re: Buy new or used GC?

We bought our 2011 GC used with 12k miles on it,as it was a corporate demo. It had a few electrical bugs in it. Once the factory guys figured it out it has been great for the last 100k miles. Thinking about finding a used 2016 in the near future to get the improved V6 and tranny...

Re: Buy new or used GC?

I bought a 2011 GC Limited with 26000 miles on it in March of 2016 that has a"salvage title" I bought it from a small dealer near Detroit. I LOVE this truck, although I do think that I am in for some issues. I bought it "as is" He did have the vehicle re inspected by state and all checked out fine. I noticed a few little things in the next couple weeks that weren't working, the automatic rear view mirror doesn't work, the compass in the EVIC won't calibrate (just shows - -) the keyless entry on the driver's side doesn't work, automatic dimming headlights don't work. I will eventually get these issues fixed but I am a little irritated about it. Yesterday I drove home from work with the sunroof open, I usually forget I have a sunroof so naturally, when I got home I forgot to close it. It started to rain (of course) suddenly, bang, I remember, I ran out to shut it. Lucky it had only been raining about 3 minutes before I realized my mistake. I dried everything off and returned to the house thinking thank goodness I got everything dried off. NOPE, I got in the truck the next morning, no A/C-Heat, seat vents/heaters don't work, I can't turn the blower fan on, nothing. The stereo works great and the buttons below for the hazards, heated steering wheel, power outlet, towing, all work. The fuse isn't blown. Now what, how much is this going to cost to fix? Any ball park figures or ideas on what else to check? I should also mention that when I tried to turn the blower on that the whole unit sunk into the council about an inch, what should I make of that???
