Re: Buying a 2015 GJC Limited 4WD- A Good Price?
I worked this deal for a friend. It is signed, she is out of the dealer, and driving home. I have done this for several friends and family members in the past. I spoke with nine different dealers to get the deal done.
Vehicle was a base Grand Cherokee Limited Granite Crystal with black interior and no options.
MSRP w/Destination = $40,060
Invoice w/Destination = $ 38,771
Dealer Doc Fee = $ 599
We (she) got it for $ 36,300 including the Dealer Doc Fee, and 60 month 0% financing through Chrysler Jeep......about 6.4% under invoice including the Dealer Doc Fee. Truecar was at about $ 37,550. The $ 36,300 did not include sales tax and license/registration.
We did have a better deal at $ 36,250, but it wasn't her preferred color.
I think we did very good. We caught the dealers at the end of the month trying to get to a quota. She says I should do this as a business, and maybe I should? I find it easier to do car deals for friends and family because I am not emotionally involved, but I do like to get a great deal.
