Buying Stuff - It's a Disease!

Ok, don't tell me I'm the only one that's ever done this...(I need counseling, I know)

Ordered my 14' JGC Limited 4x4 V6 on 4/17/14, been a long few weeks with hopefully just a few to go. Anyway, am I the only one that's ordered one and while waiting, has also ordered parts for it?

So far I've ordered:

PRO 2.5" Lift
Pro-Comp 7089 18x9
Nitto Terra Grapplers 275/65/18
Gorilla Locking Lugs
Xenon Depot full HID kit
OEM TPMS Sensors
OEM Tow Hooks
OEM Cargo Liner
Husky X-Act Floor Mats (front/rear)

I don't even want to know the total, LOL. Damn this disease...

On the bright side, it should look pretty cool.

Alright, I confess. I'm not as bad as you, but I'm in the middle of a long wait too, and I've already ordered the Summit Grill Insert, Husky XAct mats and Mopar cargo mat.

I'm stopping there though. No really. In case I have to go a different direction, the above may be on the "Jeep Stuff For Sale" forum if the damn Jeep doesn't ship soon! :-) I've been tempted by 20" rims but have so far controlled myself.

Re: Buying Stuff - It's a Disease!

This thread has made my day. When I first placed my order I said I was going to order something for it each week until it arrived.

Glad I didn't go that route or my list would look like the OP's. So far I've held myself to floor mats and a small 4 space cargo bag for the little things I accumulate in the back of my vehicle. I can certainly understand the compulsion to order things though!

Re: Buying Stuff - It's a Disease!

Well...I have a "history" of not being able to leave things stock. I also have always secretly wanted a lifted Jeep, and a JK isn't as practical as the GJ, JK may come in a few years though...hrmm.

I also have to say, I wasn't really going to get the tow hooks or the HID kit. The reason I did, is because when I install the lift, I can just take off the whole front bumper and install everything at once, so I figured "why not?" Plus, I plan on doing some light off road and most/all parks require a recovery point.

I'm just realllllllly hoping it isn't plagued with issues.

Well my heavily modified 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse says I'm just like you. Not much left that's stock on that car. Used to drag race it, then I got older, now I never drive it. Only 75,000 original miles on it, but many of them 1/4 mile at a time. ;-)

I notice you left off
- aftermarket wheels
- weathertech window wind deflectors
- steel step hitch [makes braille parkers think twice]
- turbo

... just in case you needed some suggestions...

Wheels were in the first post
Don't like window wind deflectors
Don't have a hitch receiver (no tow package)
No turbo - too expensive, although if I would have went with the V8, a Ripp supercharger would have been nice, but WAY too expensive.

I would certainly like the RR bumper/winch, skid plates, some nice lights, and the RR roof rack, but I highly doubt that's going to happen. It's just not practical for me (right now).

And please, no more suggestions, my bank account is on life-support as is.
