But the robots doing the liftgate adjustment/installment are still installing them with misaligned liftgates. So those robots are out of adjustment.

That's all I'll say Chevyboy since I still love my Summit, faults and all.

Sounds like an, um...human...error to me. Hopefully, it will get adjusted since there are so many reports of this issue.

Now THAT he was correct on.. Sitting on a lot or not, they are indeed 'sold'.. Whether for dealer stock, or a customer.. Doesn't matter.. They're all sold. That's why we can't keep an on-hand supply with this model.. We can't build em fast enough!

I was just talking to someone about that show earlier. We both laughed at how intelligible management tries to look when the cameras are around.. The dude you're referring to is our, now former, Body Shop manager. He was sent over to the Warren truck (Ram) plant a couple weeks ago. And that other dude (Ryska) is the plant manager.

Thanks. Your post made me think to check xfinity ... Comcast. I just watched it on my tablet.
It was good to see ... but I don't think I will record it. Once is enough.

Well that explains why Warren Truck is going through what they're going through...

Re: Cable TV show about JNAP

Oh darn, looks like I've missed it again. Oh well, nothing I haven't seen, right?

I even see the raw, uncut, all BS version 4 days, 40 hours a week!

What he means is that all the vehicles are ordered, by someone, and that Chrysler isn't just BUILDING them to FORCE onto dealers. They were KNOWN to do that back around oh, '05 and '06... and '07.... and '08.

"Here, we built this weirdly optioned Ram 1500... now you gotta buy it and sell it."

Yeah uh, no more of that.

Re: Cable TV show about JNAP

Finally got to see the show. I found it very interesting, but wish they showed more such as glass installation, programming computer, stamping sheet metal but that is probably all classified information. Oddly they claim that they align the wheels at the factory!

If they didn't align the wheels a lot of Jeeps would be all over the road. They also say they tighten ground straps, and they do, but some got missed.

As long as people are involved nothing will be 100%

I was surprised they weren't using robots to place the roof parts in position.

Stamping is not done at JNAP, it's done at SSP, Sterling Stamping Plant not TOO far away.

For some reason, these TV shows view the assembly process as boring (despite being where all the action is), and the body shop robots as amazing, so that's what you see.

Both are as equally important as the other. Parts need a body to mount to, and a body won't move without parts.

I'm surprised that glass installation wasn't covered as that's mostly done by robots. The exception being the door glass installation, that is done by humans.

With these TV shows and even internet shows, the less humans the better.
