Re: CAI question

Here is one http://www.airaid.com/ProductDetail....ductID=310-212 But the issue is-- is that it is just sucking in the hot engine air and the use of the stock tube-- most people are holding on for a better solution that has a replacement tube and is a true CAI.

Cheers !

Re: CAI question

This is the P-snorkel...more functional that a snorkel on a Wrangler.

The airraid intake uses the factory scoop that will draw in fresh air as well and the only way to hydro lock an engine is to completely submerge the filter under water. Think about it have you ever tried to use a straw with holes in it? You lose all suction just like a filter with holes in it.

Re: CAI question

Actually Jeepster23 there were a few posts here a while ago about WK2 getting hydro locked -- I dont have any hard evidence other than the post. However after that post they started puting in snow blockers and hood trimming very soon after the event.-- so I dont want to take a chance ... I had a snorkel as well on my Landrover years ago ... loved it...
