California Edition Rims

Guys/Gals,

I've had my Cherokee Summit for about 2 months now and have come to the conclusion that the california edition satin chrome rims are a pain to keep stain free.

What I mean is that when I go get a car wash (even had the car detailed), it leaves these stains that are very difficult to remove. Windex on a rag might work to really keep it clean but water on a rag probably won't do much.

Any of you guys know what I'm talking about? I'm contemplating just getting these rims instead (plus i like the look of those better).

Those are the rims I had on my Overland and I loved them (and I didn't at first). So easy to keep clean.

I really like the California Summit ones too, looks wise. I'm surprised they are difficult to keep clean. They look awesome.

The Stock Non Calif 2017 Summit ones are growing on me and have not been bad to clean or keep clean so far.

If it's just a cleaning issue maybe someone here has a suggestion.

You need to immediately dry the wheels before you drive away to avoid that from happening when using those car washes. Or even better bring a spray bottle of Optimum No-Rinse mixed with water and after the car wash, spray and dry each wheel with a soft microfiber cloth before driving away.
