If I had it all to do over again, I would have done like you planned (#5). Taken the Summit with the 20" wheels and then:
a) Sell the 20" wheels/tires for hopefully a nice sum
b) Add the skids and tow hooks
c) Put on my choice of 18" off road wheels with LTX AT/2 tires
I had just figured I was saving some grief by having Jeep do that instead of me, even if the ORG II cost SHOULD be less for Summits (since you forfeit the fancy wheels.)
What I didn't realize until too late was that Jeep is putting street tires on ORG II equipped vehicles (still ticks me off to think about it.) So I'm going to have to change the tires anyway.
