The Caddy looks the SUV part and all, but isn't it really more intended for touring and more...pavement oriented activies? The Range Super Sport, IMHO, is still the only 'standard' on the market for true luxury touring but also wicked capability off road. The WK2 has Range capabilities for the most part, but for value (the price is great, but just not quite the Range...and for that they earned the hefty premium).
That's the great thing about the QX. It handles on-road touring duties with ease beacuse of the size coupled with the advanced hydraulic suspension, not to mention the great interior, technology and refined engine and transmission. Unlike the Escaade however, it is fully capable off-road and built on a world class off-road vehicle platform.

For those who like (or can deal with) the exterior styling, I do think the QX is also an incredible value in its class. I have owned many great cars and the QX ranks right up there behind my 09 Nissan GT-R. I have a 2011 C63 AMG in the garage that has seen no time from me since I bought the QX simply because the QX is such a pleasure to drive.

Not to sound like a sissy, but the 360 camera is a great feature that should be standard on all large vehicles in the future. It makes parking and maneuvering in tight spaces a breeze... feels much like a video game.

I feel sorry for anyone who buys a Range Rover...the bones of that truck are 9 years old, and aside from changing the engine twice it hasn't really received any meaningful updates (putting some more trim on the doors and changing the gauges to an LCD screen do not make it a major refresh.) I still regret purchasing mine and that was nearly a decade ago.
I would take a Summit over the Range Rover despite the nice materials in the Range Rover interior. I just think they are way overpriced for today's standards. Furthermore, I was sitting in one in NYC when a a manhole cover caused the engine to come bursting through the hood. Something about that experience pretty much put Range Rovers out of my mind forever.

I'd take the Jeep over and Range too...I tried the Range Rover and it was nothing but a headache for 8 months until I sold it. Lost nearly 20k on it as well, they depreciate like a Yugo.

5)No off-road group... sell those wheels and do it after with more wheel choices was my plan.
6)No chrome edition... isn't there enough chrome on that Summit already?
If I had it all to do over again, I would have done like you planned (#5). Taken the Summit with the 20" wheels and then:
a) Sell the 20" wheels/tires for hopefully a nice sum
b) Add the skids and tow hooks
c) Put on my choice of 18" off road wheels with LTX AT/2 tires

I had just figured I was saving some grief by having Jeep do that instead of me, even if the ORG II cost SHOULD be less for Summits (since you forfeit the fancy wheels.)

What I didn't realize until too late was that Jeep is putting street tires on ORG II equipped vehicles (still ticks me off to think about it.) So I'm going to have to change the tires anyway.
