Re: Car Wash - Swirls on rims

I hate car washes but don't have much of a choice here in Michigan during the winter.

Re: Car Wash - Swirls on rims

Unless it is sub zero temperatures, it is never too cold to hand wash. I wash mine at least once a week or right after any rain or snow. Washes just fine even in the single digits as long as you have hot water in the bucket

How do you manage the hose? Mine gets put away for the winter and if water is lef in it, it freezes. Do you keep it inside?

Not trying to be rude but my neighbors would think I was crazy washing my vehicle after shoveling my snow. LOL!

Re: Car Wash - Swirls on rims

ive washed my jeep in the garage personally. There is no drain however I didn't bother putting up drywall for that reason.
During winter I usually use my electric power washer followed by a hot bucket.

Lately ive been lazy and just hit up the touchless wash to rinse off

I bought my Jeep to use it like a Jeep. Camping in the Cascades, skiing, logging roads to radio tower sites. When it's dirty, it goes through the wash when I get a chance. If I was worried about swirls, I wouldn't be taking it where sticks, twigs and brush are going to reach out and touch me.

Winter in the PNW would require me to wash every other day if I wanted to keep it looking showroom which I don't have time or the desire for.
