Cargo net

I was perusing justforjeeps.com earlier looking for stuff to order for my new ride and I came across a cargo area pet bed. Now I'm obviously not spending $70 for a Jeep branded pet bed when I can buy one from Walmart for $20, but in the picture, it shows a netting separating the cargo area from the back seat. It gives a part number but says its for the Compass and Patriot only. Does anyone know if one of these vertical nets exists for the WK2? My dog sheds like a maniac, so I have no intention of letting him sit anywhere but the cargo area of my new car, but it's kinda of tough to stop him from climbing over the seat when I'm driving

Re: Cargo net

My Overland came with a net in a bag that was in the trunk cargo area that I didn't find for several weeks. I assumed this was to hold cargo down but never opened it. I don't know if it would work for this or not.

Re: Cargo net

I've got the regular envelope style cargo net that came with my Overland, But I don't believe that it'll unfold in order to stretch vertically in order to cover the gap between the rear seats and the roof.

Re: Cargo net

I saw the same picture, however there are no hooks on the roof for the net to hook on to. I picked up a cheap metal gate from amazon for 30.00. Its ok, but its noisy and creaks a lot. Its does keep the mutt in the back though. As for the pet bed, I picked up basically the same one at Costco for 18.00. It was a little different, but same size and cushion. That one for 70 is a total rip off.

Re: Cargo net

cargo net goes at the rear of the trunk, not designed to keep a dog in the back.

Re: Cargo net

This is a nice Guard on ebay from the UK;

I installed an aftermarket one simmular to this one. Better than a net.

I've been looking for one of these myself. I had one on my 4Runner....it worked well to keep things from sliding around in the cargo area.

Re: Cargo net

You mean something like this 30" x 45" Cargo Tie-Down Net? Other sizes are available.

It's made to attach to the top left and right post, then bottom left and right hooks.
