Re: center console questions

I think he is talking about the rectangle cutout in the underside of the lid. Not the top try. I don't know either what it could be for. Sometimes if I open the lid to access the bottom bin things fall into it that I have stored in the top bin.It has always looked like they left a trim piece off.

Tic-Tacs, lots of Tic-Tacs, both top and bottom. And a bag of quarters in the bottom.

Re: center console questions

I keep a Garmin GPS in the top compartment when not in use. A snub nosed .38 revolver also fits in there rather nicely.

Re: center console questions

Anyone know if Tuffy's Compact Security Lockbox will fit in the space? I no longer have any fire arms. They were all lost in a tragic fishing accident.
A secure lockbox would be a nice addition though.

Re: center console questions

I have reduced my fishing expeditions for exactly the same reason, plus I am always concerned that if I am in a boat, and any handguns that I might have are out of reach, then I am at risk.

For that reason, WHENEVER fishing, I always keep them close.

However, I am lately feeling drawn to white water rafting....

Re: center console questions

The little cutout part is for small Kleenex type tissue packs. You know the small ones in a plastic pack. I started to throw small change in the top part but it flys all over the place when you open the lid to get to the bottom section....this is where i store nothing much at all. I don't like the constant 12v supply in there so I mounted one of those dual 12v/USB charger units and ran the plug end to the front switched power outlet.....

In the 2014's they moved the USB port to the lower front compartment so the top one in the center console don't have much use other than what others have pointed out.

The 2014 bottom compartment has a lighter power outlet. I plugged in a dual USB power regulator there. They also carved a groove so you can feed cables out of the compartment. Very useful.

Top section: wallet, cell phone, checkbook, gum.
Bottom: dog poop bags, lint roller, kleenex, wet napkins, radar detector.
