Re: Center LATCH setup?

Check the seat you plan on using. Most specify the width that it can be used on. That being said you can use the middle with the LATCH in the GC for the middleon the 2011. Someone above said the 2012 says belts for the middle. That would be strange if they changed it. Mine is in the middle as the middle is the safest.

Re: Center LATCH setup?

So your 2011 GC has a pair of dedicated anchor points for the middle seat? In other words you have a total of 6 individual anchor points on your back seat (not counting the anchors for the tether strap)??

Re: Center LATCH setup?

No the vehicle has two attachment points per seat, but the manual says that the two inboard anchors can be used to LATCH the seat if the seat allows that width. The Britax seat that we have falls with in that range and the seat is anchored using the LATCH.

Of course you can use the LATCH system. A center baby seat can be attached to the inner LATCH from either side and there is also a behind the seat anchor.

Only if the infant car seat is wide enough. It won't be secured and safe IF you have to stretch the belt on the infant car seat and have to hook up to the anchors at an angle.

Regardless, one should have it inspected by professional after your installation just to be 100% correct and secured. http://www.nhtsa.gov/cps/cpsfitting/index.cfm
