Re: Changes for 2015?

I am surprised that there is still no information regarding the changes for the MY2015 model, as it is now under 6 months away.
Surely our insiders like Milous would have something for us by now.
Any news guys ?

Given the more comprehensive revisions with the MY14 and its extended model year (early start), I suspect that any changes to the MY15 will be minor details and updates, plus a few color option changes. You will not see any significant changes until the next true re-design which is a couple model years away. This is likely why the insiders haven't had much to say...there isn't much to say.

Re: Changes for 2015?

Would be nice to see a hybrid powertrain option. I have the V6 and with slow rush hour traffic see 16MPG or lower still.

I have been considering upgrading from my limited to something with the technology package but plan on waiting in out a few years to see if they come out with a hybrid.

Also may test drive a loaded Cherokee trailhawk. It comes with all of the tech options etc for 10K less than a GC with those features and the smaller size should mean better gas mileage.

Detroit Auto Show industry preview day is Wednesday & Thursday - I would imagine all will be revealed next week.

Re: Changes for 2015?

My guess is some small options additions/deletions along with possible exterior color changes and a big push about customers being able to customize factory vehicles with Mopar custom parts.

You will probably be waiting a long time for a hybrid setup NONE of the Chrysler/jeep/dodge/ram have even remotely anything hybrid lined up

They did have the hybrid aspin/durango a few years ago. They did show they are capable.

Now that would be nice!

I guess one of the features that might make it on the MY15 GC could be the Auto-Park available on the Cherokee.

Just get rid of the 1980s parking brake.

Re: Changes for 2015?

I like my shifter and I also like a actual parking brake pedal. I have a '13 Ram with the dial shifter and I'm not completely sold on it yet. It's too close to the blower motor knob (which the GC will not have) and I can't tell you how many times I have put the truck in drive just to have my hair blow wildly. Multitasking is usually the culprit in the case.

Oh, Jeep has ruined the Cherokee IMO. That thing is ridiculously small now. I wanted a TrailHawk but I can't get my wide, uh, self in the back seat comfortably. So I will turn my GC into a TrailHawk, visually anyway.

Those might even become collector items since they only produced a handful of them.
