Probably see it here to meet CAFE requirements and to compete with Range Rover, GM and Ford's boosted V6s. Chrysler V8 is in need of an update to compete with the latest GM small block and Ford V8. Chrysler V8 needs to lose some serious weight and its ancient dual spark plugs

I agree, with much stricter fuel efficiency laws coming into play. I think Chrysler has a plan for this is just hasn't been announced. But if the market is there the 5.7 will continue. It's a good stable engine.

Re: Changes for 2015?

a) Engine stops when fob leaves the vehicle ? (Have had mine fail to turn off when push button twice now).
b) Nothing wrong with the hemi a DOHC 4 valve direct injection head wouldn't cure.
c) Diesel in Laredo.
d) Separate amp, speakers, and a double-din space in the dash.

For (b) also needs an aluminum block to shed pounds. Maybe since Chrysler is now part of Fiat Chrysler's engine folks can get some help from Ferrari on engine design. Who knows maybe Chrysler can move from the early 60's with twin plugs to maybe the late 80's with DOHC 4v and an aluminum block with their V8s. And they need to drop the "hemi" tag line since it aint a real hemi.

I gave you proof the last time you spewed this crap, you chose to ignore proof every time someone presents it. Ford still uses dual spark plugs on their 6.2. Dohc is good for peak horsepower and Honda Civics but for moving a big heavy suv around and towing it doesn't produce the torque to do it near as well as a ohv motor. You tout gm's newest small block but newsflash, that motor still has the cam in the block. They put direct injection on their motor and new heads and a new block and managed to gain what? Twenty horsepower? And the ability to use your truck to roast marshmallows when it catches fire! The "hemi" logo is still used because it still technically is a hemispherical combustion chamber but one that is a lot more efficient.

Re: Changes for 2015?

Wish List

add 30 Hp/ 40 ft lbs of torque lower in the powerband for the V6. Don't care if it's with SC, Direct Injection, multi air, or magic. Better sound from exhaust
lose a few lbs.
Keep the same gas mileage (maybe add an mpg or 2)

love my 2005 WK, waiting for the right WK2- V6 a little weak, V8 more then enough, but would like better gas mileage, less maint. (spark plugs, 7qts every oil change).
