Re: Changes for 2015?

Sooo, how about that direct injection? Seems like it is about due as there have been a bunch of DI Pentastars running around already, correct?

It could also be a clue that practically nothing is changing...

Re: Changes for 2015?

I had read that there will be some structural stiffening added

Ok, my three guesses:
  • Change in tires, to Wrangler SilentArmors (silent - shhhhh)
  • Enhanced sound deadening or reduced diesel noise
  • Start / stop (no engine sound when stopped).

Changing tires to Silent Armors or something similar is never going to happen even as an option. Jeep needs every tenth of a mile in mpg for fleet numbers.

Start/stop if Jeep cant get the software right for the HVAC , radio, and nav do you really want them to try start/stop?????

Enhanced sound deadening means for weight or more dollars. Not going to happen.

1.) The original Trailhawk had them, as well as I believe the Wrangler Moab.
2.) Yes. It isn't going to be the Uconnect folks developing start/stop. I am pretty sure they are disparate development teams.
3.) Not sure I follow this logic, it could be just a new material that has better sound dampening properties. It might not even cost more.

Interesting being on the outside looking in when Milous and crew were dropping hints on the '14 and now being on the inside looking out now. I can see why he finds this fun.

There's not gonna be a lot of changes....nothing significant anyway. Marlon has seen pre - production models and sees 0 difference. Maybe some electronic options that u can't really see. I don't think there's gonna be an electronic ebrake this time and round either.
