I like the 360 camera system a lot, and I guess the foot-actuated tailgate will be nice too.
May I order one now please?

A 360 degree camera is distraction. I dont need it or want it. All aluminum body and structure for 2017 would be nice. The foot actuated tailgate probably doesnt work if you boot is covered with an inch or two of mud and sheep poop. How's about a manual transmission???

2017 maybe the last year for vehicles with any real hp, torque and acceleration since the draconian fleet mpg starts in 2018. Thank your president and Dems for this. Anyone remember 318 from 1980 which had a big 130hp. Those days are coming back. The Mustang II Cobra got 140hp out the Ford 5l V8 back in the mid 70's.

290hp out of 3.6L V6 maybe the good ole days again for hp!

Neither will be standard, so don't get them if you don't want them. And why wouldn't it work? The tailgate activates when it detects motion. Having mud on your shoes won't cause the detector to not detect motion.

Its pretty simple, if you dont want an option don't get it, Jeep isn't making every jeep to your specifications. If people want a 360 degree camera and a foot activated lift gate good for them. They will pay for the options, not me. If it means the difference between a kid getting run over or not, I think the camera is well worth it.

How is 360* camera a distraction? I have seen this kind of a system on an Audi, and it works well and it isn't like it is on all the time.

As others have said the lift gate doesnt care if you are wearing heels, cowboy boots, or sheep poop on your feet. It wakes up when your keyfob is nears the vehicle and detects motion.

No there won't be a manual transmission. The manual transmission is dying. Automatics are more effecient and can shift faster than the fastest human. What you might see is further modes on the Jeep automatic transmissions that allow full control over the shifting with the paddles.

I seriously doubt this will be the case. The industry has been creating some amazing power plant performance while increasing fuel economy substantially. They didn't and couldn't do that back in the 1970s and 1980s. This is something I certainly am not worried about in any way...

New: Acoustic windshield (Summit)

I guess you're referring to noise reduction glass that reduces noise by around 2-3 dB and not this (which I wish it was):

Blasts Of Sound Waves May Make Windshield Wipers Obsolete

I see you bought a 3.6 V6 so what are you worried about?

Also, try stepping in less Sheep poop.

Hey Milous, now that something official has been released regarding the 2015 changes, can you confirm any other changes ?

Re: Changes for 2015?

IMO the 360 degree camera should have been a 2014 WK2 feature
I mean the 2011 touareg already has it !!

Re: Changes for 2015?

For 2015 get rid of the shifter and go to knob like in the Ram. Shifter just wastes space.

Or the old shifter, the 14' shifter is awkward. At the same time though, I don't think you would want to overdue the cabin, having dials all over the place.
