Glad I just bought my 2014....as I can't wait until the all new 2018 GC (previously planned as a 2016 model which now the 2016 seems to be a major refresh instead like the 2014)!
Is this true milous, Scott? Are the GC's model years being extended?

Re: Changes for 2015?

Since they started production of the '14 in January of '13, by the time we get to the end of 2015 it will be in production for three full years. That's a pretty good life span.

Re: Changes for 2015?

So if this is the case, will we see the GC in late 16' or early 17'? It would just be strange to see a late refresh in 2015 and then the GC re-enter as a 17' in the 17 model year. Maybe they are refreshing it for the 75th anniversary humm

"2017: Even bigger plans are in store for 2017. In Q2, a new Wrangler will make its debut, while Q3 will bring a new Grand Cherokee."

That would mean an all new 2018 model, not 2017 (since Q3 of 2017) so really 2.5 years between major refreshes ... the 2011 refreshed in early 2013 (2.5 years for 2014 model year) and late 2015 (2.5 years again from early 2014 intro to 2016 model year intro)...then two years later an all new 2018. Makes sense and puts them on a more aggressive update schedule.

I said here or in another thread that the next GC had been pushed back a bit to allow for the grand Wagoner development.

Re: Changes for 2015?

What more could they do to an already solid vehicle other than perhaps getting rid of that electronic shifter in favor of the original mechanical stick with tiptronic vs the video game like paddles they placed on this year's steering wheel . Also prefer the non body color matching black trimmed fenders and surrounding body trim for a more appropriate rugged feel the trail rated diesel Overland deserves

Re: Changes for 2015?

Personal preference more rugged for off roading in trail rated package.
