Well, let's be realistic. Today's jeep is not even in part based on that same design from before.

The current GC is actually based upon the Mercedes-designed ML platform...

2013 Range Rover and 2014 Range Rover Sport lost over 800lbs each and it didnt effect the max tow rating.

Loss of weight shouldnt have any effect at all on towing and it might even increase it on the GC if done correctly.

Towing rating and how it actually tows are two different things, More weight the less you get pushed around by want you are towing its that simply Cheers
