Changes in orderable configs for Laredo X

Did you notice that as per the Jeep webpage configurator for the Laredo X you cannot combine the Sunroof and the 430N anymore? This is a reason for me not to buy this car! Do you know if you can combine the 730N and the sunroof for Laredo X?

The only way to get the 430N plus sunroof is to go for the limited and that is 2 grands more. I can't believe it.

I am shocked and a "thumbs down" for the guy from Jeep that came up with that idea

Go to a dealer and check the options on their computer. Although Jeep.com is a great resource its been pretty lacking in regards to keeping up with current options and the availability of certain items. To be certain a dealer computer on dealer connect would be the most viable option to see what options are actually available to order at that time.

But as you stated.. yes you are correct, according to the website you can get the 430 non Nav with the sunroof or the 430N no command view.. If this is true in the dealer computer then the reason they do this is to make people spring for the Limited in-order to have options together as they please.

The 730N is an Overland ONLY option.. Used to be in the Limited option but is no longer available, limited to the Overland only.

Unbelievable (that's all I can say). It took me weeks to find out my preferred option to order, and now they screwed it up totally. Pure dissapointment.

If I configure a Laredo X with the sunroof, it's $38190. If I could add the 430N it would be $38585. A Limited, no extra options, comes standard with both 430N and the roof for $39995. That's only about $1400 more, not $2000. Just sayin'. You could rationalize it and say your getting a lot more standard options on the Limited for that $1400 than if you were to add in those options on the Laredo priced separately.

It is frustrating to buy new cars these days with the way the put together the options. "You want this, then you have to pay for that, too." A couple things I want requires me to get the Limited, but then I'm stuck with the sunroof which I have no desire for, and I loathe the chrome mirrors and door handles. (I don't even like the chrome strip that goes down the side of all the models, including the Laredo; I think chrome details like that make vehicles look cheesy).

I remember before the WK2 being built, there were a couple articles I read claiming that it would be sold more "a la carte". i.e., you'd be able to pick and choose most of your options without being forced into "packages". Seems Chrysler decided against that in the end.

Re: Changes in orderable configs for Laredo X

Forgot to add: the radios should be easily swappable. You might be able to make a deal with the dealer where you buy a Laredo with the 430, and they swap in a 430N for you at the dealership.
