Re: Changing axle fluid at 20K miles?

Thanks all. I'll probably do it myself sometime this summer but it sounds like there isn't any need to do it ASAP.

Re: Changing axle fluid at 20K miles?

When I had my 2001 GC, the only fluid I changed was the oil and drive it for 7yrs. I towed quite a bit with that and never had any transmission or differential issues with it. I had 1 front boot ripe on me and that was it.

Re: Changing axle fluid at 20K miles?

Changed Differential Fluids at 30k and Tcase fluids at 30k

At 58k now 2k more will change tcase diff's and transmission.

All i need is the transfer case go out or something in the Diff go wrong in my SRT and they deny it because lack of maintenance or w/e

Re: Changing axle fluid at 20K miles?

My 02 GCL 4.7L with QDII listed diff and transfer case fluid changes every 30K miles. Because it was a listed item in the maintenance schedule I did it. That was around $600 to do... not cheap by any means.

No such language like that in my 14's maintenance schedule.
