I could be way off on this one, but would it be possible to swap the new Cherokee Overland steering wheel for the HA? Reason being is because it comes with the silver color trim pieces.
Even better...I am 95% sure every part of the steering wheel swaps over, trim, buttons, everything. because of that just go ahead and order yourself a steering wheel from a Grand Cherokee and that way you know it fits  Besides, if you order a new steering wheel I'm pretty sure it comes bare bones anyway.
In my research, if you want one to match a High Altitude correctly with black stitching, you will need to get one from a black interior 2014-2015 Summit. If I remember correctly, the Overland has white stitching on the steering wheel. Search used ones on ebay and you'll see what I mean. I think an SRT wheel would look awesome as well, but the Summit wheel would look great as well, and the wood would match interior trim perfectly as well (both gloss dark woods). Kinda funny actually because in a way the Summit steering wheel doesn't match the dash trim perfectly. Gloss on the steering wheel, and flat open pore on the dash and doors.
I think I'll get with the parts department at my dealer and see what I can work out because that wheel out of the Cherokee Overland would work perfectly for my HA and look legit. I'm on a mission. Hopefully this won't run me for too much. I got out of the mod game years ago with a 2004 Maxima. Never forget.
There is a whole thread on putting in a black summit wheel on a HA. I did it. It will run you about $400 for the wheel plus installation. You want the black summit wheel as it has black stitching and black wood.

That looks AWESOME! I have the wheel and wiring harness ready to order. Did you also have to order the trim pieces as well? Also, did you have any issues with installation at your dealer and did you need an alignment afterwards? Thanks for the info. This is definitely great news.
The steering wheel you are buying will not have any buttons or trim. Your dealer can transfer all that from your existing wheel once they remove it. You need the wire harness because the steering wheel heater is different with the wood wheel. My dealer did everything without issue. No, you shouldn't need an alignment. The steering wheel is keyed and can only go on in one position. I did have any alignment done, but for other reasons. Assuming all the wheels are keyed the same, you shouldn't see any difference in steering wheel position.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
