Chevy offers Borla exhaust from the factory. Be cool if Jeep did itů

“For some beautiful reason we won’t question here, Chevy offers an array of Borla cat-back exhaust systems on the option sheet. We selected the $1249 dual-side-outlet setup…” - Car and Driver
This was for the Silverado 1500, and, I don't know, but maybe pickups aren't required to meet the same EPA standards as SUVs.

Cat back systems will not effect epa status for the vehicle. Adding a Borla exhaust from the factory is all about the sound. I suspect the take rate is much higher with pickups and sports cars than SUVs.

I had Borla cat back systems on many cars in the past. Cat back systems doesn't change the properties of the exhaust gases so there is nothing that the silly EPA can say. If you were to change downpipe back then they wouldn't offer that from the factory. (Disclaimer) Audi at least puts the cat right after the turbo or header on non-boosted cars. So you can do down pipe back with no issues. But I think cats are under the floor pans on most American cars? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong

I for one am happy that this "silly" organization exists to help keep this country from turning into a huge sewer pit like China has become.

With that said, I think is is very forward thinking on Chevy's part, and I hope that in the future more aftermarket parts are offered on more vehicles.

This is the first vehicle that I have not upgraded the exhaust, I love it! Nice and quiet in drive and eco, but in sport, it sounds great!

On the other hand, I did have a Borla axle back on my Sonata, good low sound.

No exhaust on the GC, but Borla on a Sonata?

I prefer the ability to revert back to stock if I upgrade an exhaust but don't like the tone. If the GM comes from the factory with the Borla, does it also ship with a stock exhaust as well? If not, that could be an issue.

Well, the Sonata Turbo needed it. The GC does not IMO.

I have Magnaflow mufflers on my 740i, and it sounds great. If I had the money, I'd have gone with Eisenmann but they are too pricey.

It would be nice if Jeep offered something from Magnaflow or Borla, as was stated by the OP. I'm sure the non-SRT buyers would be interested.
