First off let me say these are by no means professional pictures they are from my Iphone 5, but turned out nice nonetheless. Its soooo much easier taking pics with the cell rather then bring the good camera which I will probably never look at anyway.

Everyone has seen the new 2014's so these are nothing new, but just more perspectives and some personal opinions after seeing them in person.

So I can say that the 2014 Grand Cherokee's are downright gorgeous!! The new headlights and taillights are amazing, and the front end definately looks better in person. For anyone that wasnt sure if they liked the revised back end and taillights, well its perfect, I love it! To be model specific I think the new SRT8 is phenominal. If I had to nitpick one thing I would say it would look a LOT meaner if it came with dark gray wheels instead of the relatively plain polished 5 spoke wheels. I bet it would look killer with the 2013 Alpine or Vapor dark wheels. I have a thing for dark gray wheels though, so thats just me.
As for the Overland and Summit, well after seeing the Summit in person my opinion hasnt changed. Its nice, but I think the Overland looks better. The Overland wheels look wayyy better, and as weird as this may sound I actually think the paint matched side moulding of the Overland looks better than the SRT8 style moulding on the Summit with gray lower valance. The paint matched moulding of the standard Overland is a very nice addition to the 2014's. Im still unsure of the Summit front end, like I said its nice, but just too much chrome and too much going on. I prefer the Overland's front end. Matbe if I saw a different color Summit I would like it more, but for now its just not for me. I also dont like the polished SRT8 style wheels on the Summit. I love how they painted the Overland wheels dark gray on the inner spokes. Looks real slick.
As for the interiors, well its obviously awesome! I have nothing to complain about. I personally was not as much of a fan of the Indigo Blue as I thought I was gonna be. It was definately unique, but that blue was more pronounced that I thought it was going to be and was just too much blue everywhere. I thought it was gonna be so dark it would almost look black, but it didnt. Again, not horrible, but just not for me. If you ordered it dont let my statement upset you as its still amazing, but just a personal opinion.
Even though I dont know if or when I will get myself back into a Grand Cherokee, but if I do its for sure gonna be a Overland (non-summit). I would love to get a SRT8, but thats just too much money and too thirsty for me for daily driving. I will leave the spirited driving for the Corvette :)

Enjoy the pics!

Unfortunately I missed getting pictures of the Overland's interior sorry. There was a lot of people around it so it was difficult getting any pictures at all.
The exterior was black and interior was indigo blue.

Nice pictures and good insite.

Is the Overland Maximum Steel?

.
The Overland was black and I'm pretty sure the SRT was maximum steal.

Thanks for the write-up and pics. I agree with most of what you said except I am still not sold on the new front-end outside of the SRT...it just doesn't flow well with the rest of the vehicle.

Thank you for the pics.

I still cannot get over that "smile". Perhaps, I should see one in person.
The interior looks very nice with a readable/customizable gauges.

But, man... that SRT's steering wheel looks busy w/ all those buttons. If you are not careful when driving, you might accidentally push some buttons when making a turn. :)

Cheers,
-A

The overall effect of the changes make the Grand Cherokee look more generic. They also make it look skinnier and taller. I prefer SUVs with a lower, wider stance. After these changes, the Acura MDX looks better to me.

I always thought the nose of the Acura MDX was nice. Looks advanced and kind of futuristic. It was the 09-11 TL that had the horrendous grill which Acura thankfully fixed starting with the 2012 model. Us 3G TL owners still love the 04-08 TL body style. I currently have a 08 TL type S which I love.
The Grand Cherokee is without a doubt my favorite SUV, but I would say second choice would easily go to the newer MDX advance package.

Crossovers are like crossdressers... never know what's under the hood.

The only thing that was close to the Jeep brand being a crossdresser is the AMC Eagle - and that was only through marriage.

There's always one in the family.

I like acuras, had an 06 TL. However, the last few years I really havent liked the front ends of the acura lineup. Too much plastic on the grill. As far as the MDX, the prototype of the 2014 looks better than the current model. The prototpe should look similar to the production model coming out this summer. However, looking at the 2014 JGC and mdx prototype at the chicago auto show, I still like the Jeep better.
